With You All the Way
Dr Lynne Chapman
“Having led teams at several of the leading London clinics, and having been through IVF three times myself, I was at the stage in my career where I wanted to take just one patient on the journey that I would have liked for myself, so I thought, Well, I’m just going to do this for the love of it and see if it grows.
I believe that not only is it a very emotionally supportive thing for patients to have very few, or one person as a constant on the journey with them. It is also so much more educational for the person trying to see where there might be failings in the process of the egg and the sperm becoming an embryo. If you're constantly in that process, looking from scans to endometrium to egg quality, to how it’s fertilized, I think you see 50 percent more than you might see if you just jump on at a mid-cycle scan. That was six years ago. We still work the same way today, and purely through word of mouth of that kind of experience, LCRH has grown considerably.”
