LCRH – Summary of Terms of Business
Welcome
We are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate fertility care. Please read this short summary of our Terms of Business. It explains how we work together to ensure safe, respectful, and effective treatment. By starting treatment with LCRH, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.
1. Your Care and Who Provides It
Dr Lynne Chapman oversees the management of all LCRH patients, supported by her clinical and administrative team.
Occasionally, other experienced doctors and nurses at our partner clinics may carry out procedures such as egg collection or embryo transfer.
This ensures your care continues smoothly even when Dr Chapman is unavailable.
2. Regulation and Licensing
Fertility treatment in the UK is strictly regulated by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).
LCRH works as a satellite clinic of licensed centres — currently Aria Fertility and The Lister Fertility Clinic — for procedures requiring an HFEA licence.
3. Forms and Consents
Before treatment can begin, you must complete all required consent forms and provide valid proof of identity.
Missing or incomplete forms may cause treatment delays or cancellations (at your own cost).
Please contact our team if you need help with any documentation.
4. Respect and Courtesy
We expect all patients and visitors to treat our staff and other patients with respect and courtesy.
Abusive or aggressive behaviour (verbal, written, or otherwise) will not be tolerated.
LCRH reserves the right to end treatment immediately in such cases.
5. Confidentiality and Privacy
All personal and medical information is handled confidentially and protected under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Please respect the privacy of others by not sharing or discussing other patients’ information.
6. Appointments
Please arrive on time for your appointments.
If you’re running late or need to cancel, email admin@lcrh.co.uk as soon as possible.
Sometimes delays occur due to complex cases — we appreciate your patience.
7. Following Medical Advice
Please follow your clinical team’s instructions carefully (e.g. medication, diet, or monitoring).
Always ask questions if you are unsure — we want you to feel informed and confident.
Test results are only shared after review by a clinician to ensure accuracy.
8. Communication
Keep us updated about any changes in your medical history, contact details, or circumstances.
Open and honest communication helps us provide the best care.
9. Payments
Payment due dates are shown on your invoices.
IVF/ICSI, FET or IUI cycles must be paid in full by the date of your first monitoring scan.
Medications and results cannot be released until payment is received.
LCRH does not bill insurance companies directly but can provide receipts to support reimbursement claims.
For payment queries, contact finance@lcrh.co.uk.
10. Storage of Eggs, Sperm and Embryos
Initial storage may be included in your treatment package (check your invoice).
Ongoing storage fees are billed by the licensed laboratory, not by LCRH.
You can transfer your stored material to another licensed facility at any time if you wish.
11. Policies
Please follow all LCRH and partner clinic policies, including visitor, photography, and phone-use guidelines.
These ensure safety, privacy, and a calm treatment environment.
12. Your Data and Contact Details
It’s vital to keep your contact details up to date.
If we can’t reach you (for example, about frozen embryo or gamete storage), this could eventually result in lawful disposal under HFEA rules.
You have rights under UK law to access, correct, or request copies of your data — see our Privacy Policy for details.
13. Liability and Legal Terms
LCRH is not responsible for delays or issues caused by incorrect information or circumstances beyond our control.
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights or LCRH’s professional obligations.
These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
