“After struggling for years to conceive our much-longed-for baby, and hitting constant brick walls with the NHS when seeking fertility support or investigations, we were finally introduced to Dr Lynne Chapman at her Beaconsfield clinic. From our very first meeting, we felt a sense of hope. After so long in "fight or flight" mode, it was an incredible relief to be listened to, supported, and guided by someone with such compassion and world-class expertise in fertility health.

Lynne recommended a series of blood tests and screenings that were not available through the NHS, which gave us crucial insights into why we were likely not conceiving naturally. Thanks to her diligent investigations, we were able to narrow down our options and take the next steps with clarity. She arranged a mock embryo transfer to rule out any further potential obstacles, and under her guidance, we underwent two rounds of egg collection at The Lister Fertility Clinic. Sadly, neither resulted in viable embryos for transfer, a heartbreaking outcome.

Despite the setbacks, Lynne and the LCRH team left no stone unturned. With care and honesty, we re-evaluated our path to parenthood and made the decision to pursue egg donation, as it became clear my eggs were not resulting in viable embryos despite every effort.

LCRH facilitated an introduction to IVI Clinic in Bilbao, their trusted partner for egg donation IVF. Initially, we were apprehensive about working with a clinic overseas, but the LCRH team made the process seamless. They managed all the IVF and embryo transfer preparation from the Beaconsfield clinic, guiding us every step of the way.

We travelled to Bilbao for the necessary screenings and sperm sample, and within five days of returning to the UK, we received the wonderful call that a donor had been found. We gave the go-ahead, and soon after received the joyous news that four healthy embryos had been created and frozen, ready for transfer.

Back at LCRH in Beaconsfield, Lynne expertly managed my physical preparation and supported us through the transfer's planning. I fell pregnant on our very first embryo transfer, a testament to the meticulous care and planning by Lynne and her team and the expertise of the team at IVI Bilbao.

Once my pregnancy was confirmed and progressing well, my care was handed over to our local NHS trust. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl via a planned induction at 37.5 weeks, just before Christmas 2024. The best Christmas gift we could ever have hoped for.

Our daughter is now a happy, playful little character with a voice like a foghorn and a growing love for her first foods. We are so deeply grateful to Lynne Chapman and everyone at LCRH. Lynne truly transformed our lives, and this has been the most incredible experience of my life.
